Doctors

Today, Read and I took Grandma Anna to see her cardiologist. Visits like this leave me frustrated. He basically said, (without even seeing her heart echo) 'she is basically doing the same, since she isn't a candidate for surgery, just keep her on her current medicine list.'

I am not in a very good state of mind today!

It is difficult for me to come up with titles for my entries. So what if you blog without titling it?

Jeremy has been sick with a flu of some kind since Wednesday. He called our house last night after 1 am to get someone to take him to the emergency room. Read took the call and picked him up and took him to St. Mary's emergency room. I told him to come here after. He was severly dehydrated. He had been having severe abdominal pains. They took blood for some testing, but don't have any results. He has been sleeping most of the day. Since Julie and the grandkids are vacationing with her mom's family in PA, I get to be "Doctor Mom".

I have been working on certificates for the children who signed up for the reading program. I think I have it the way I want it. I am also making up a scrapbook type page they can use in a scrapbook. The pictures are of them decorating their book bags.

We took Grandma Anna for an outing. My husdand, Read, myself, and Grandma went and got our hair cut at Wal-Mart. Then we went out to eat. I think it was good to get her out, and she seemed to enjoy it.

OK, I'm So Proud of Myself!

My wireless card died on me (only I wasn't sure that was the problem or not) and of course I called my computer savvy sons. They had me try this and do that and of course I feel totally lost. But I muddled through. Then I get the dreadded news,

You need to back everything up and reload everything because my settings seemed to be missing.
Soooooo, I spend a very long tedious day backing up my files (which I should have been doing anyway *smile*). Then today, a thought ran through my mind,
Would the system restore feature on my computer, which I have never tried, but had seen several times, work?
Timidley, I took a look and chose a date from their calendar when the system had been backed up. It worked, and it didn't delete anything, which means I wouldn't have lost anything! Oh well, now I do have everything backed up or printed off.

Different topic: I just got off the phone with one of my clients. We spent the day together. She needs work so I hired her for helping me do some cleaning. Then we had lunch together and visited. I asked if she would watch the Joshua Harris video on finding true love. I had a chance to talk to her tonight and share the gospel. Please pray for her that God would convict her of sin and draw her to Himself. Pray for spiritual awareness on her part and for wisdom on my part.
